Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho, says he is not at all surprised by the way Cesc Fabregas has adapted on his return to the Premier League, pointing to his earlier years with Arsenal as key to his development.
Fabregas has been central to Chelsea’s ascent to the top of the Premier League, recording some eye-catching assists. They currently sit at the top of the league ladder, with three wins from three games and Mourinho has admitted that Fabregas’ ability to adapt to Chelsea’s style of play effortlessly is no surprise due to his experiences with Arsenal.
“It doesn’t surprise me. (Cesc) doesn’t need to adapt. This is a league he knows well.
“He was moulded (At Arsenal). When a player is happy he doesn’t suffer any kind of pressure. He knows that his coach trusts him. he knows that teammates admire him.”
Chelsea face Swansea City at Stamford Bridge on September 13th.
