Stephen Kenny Names Irish U21 Squad Ahead Of Crucial Double Header

Stephen Kenny has named his Irish U21 squad ahead of the crucial upcoming European Qualifiers against Italy and Iceland.

As expected, Brighton striker Aaron Connolly has been included in the squad despite calls for him to make the first team 24, while Tottenham’s Troy Parrott will get the chance to add to his three goals in the last two games when Ireland take on Italy and Iceland.

DAC’s Connor Ronan comes back into the squad after missing the previous double header and will represent a timely boost for Kenny’s side, while Southampton’s Michael Obafemi will get his chance to win his first cap at U21 level.

Bohemians full-back Darragh Leahy, who started both games against Armenia and Sweden during the last international break, misses out due to injury.
