The trio of Mo Salah, Luka Modric and Cristiano Ronaldo have been shortlisted for the 2017/2018 UEFA Men’s Player of the Year award.
UEFA announced the three nominees for the award on their website along with the remainder of the top ten which included the likes of Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe.
Cristiano Ronaldo is no stranger to this award and he is looking to secure his third in a row after a tremendous season which saw him score 44 goals while leading Real Madrid to another European Cup.
Liverpool’s Mo Salah is nominated for the award for the first time following his record breaking debut campaign at Anfield. The Egyptian scored 33 goals in 37 league games, equalling the most ever scored in a 38 game Premier League season.
