On Monday night, Tranmere Rovers secured a spot in the League Two playoff final defeating Forest Green 2-1 on aggregate to set up a Wembley showdown with Newport County.
Tranmere will be looking to secure a second consecutive promotion when they head to Wembley with last night’s 1-1 draw at the New Lawn helping them to qualify for the final on Saturday, May 25th.
One notable fan who was in the away end for Monday night’s game was Premier League referee Mike Dean who is a known supporter of the Wirral club.

Dean was spotted by the Sky Sports cameras during the game and after the victory was seen celebrating wildly as Tranmere secured the victory over two legs.
Tranmere went into the second game with a 1-0 lead but found themselves behind on the night thanks to Joseph Mills’ goal after 12 minutes.
The away side found the perfect response thanks to striker James Norwood who confidently bagged his 30th league goal of the season to send Tranmere to the Wembley final.
Dean will no doubt be in attendance for Saturday week’s clash following the conclusion of the Premier League season.
He became the first referee in Premier League history to administer 100 red cards when he sent Manchester United captain Ashley Young off last month.
