On Friday night, Shamrock Rovers travel across the city to face their Dublin rivals Bohemians in a highly-anticipated derby at Dalymount Park.

Without a win against Bohs in their last seven games and looking to bounce back from a disappointing result against Derry last week, the Hoops will have their sights set on the three points in a bid to close the gap on league leaders Dundalk.

With kick-off just a few hours away here is everything you need to know ahead of tonight’s Dublin derby.

How Does The Premier League Table Currently Look?

After a scintillating start to the campaign, Shamrock Rovers have dropped to second in the table behind last year’s champions Dundalk but they still only sit five points behind the Lilywhites with a game in hand.

Bohemians, on the other hand, sit third in the table, ten points off their rivals in second and three points clear of Derry in fourth.

_____

What’s The Team News?

Shamrock Rovers are set to be without Sam Bone and Aaron McEneff who both are still struggling with injuries but the Hoops welcome Sean Kavanagh back in what’s set to be a boost for the Dubliners.

Bohs will continue to be without a host of players with the likes of Rob Cornwall, Dinny Corcoran, Danny Grant and Cristian Magerusan all ruled out while Darragh Leahy is still with the Irish U21s in Toulon.

James Finnerty and Derek Prender will both also be missing through suspension.

____

How Have Recent Results Gone?

Bohemians have dominated this fixture over the past few years, winning six of the last seven and drawing the other game as the Dalymount club have continually gotten the better of their Dublin rivals.

Rovers’ ill-discipline has also cost them this season with three players seeing red over the two games they have played against Keith Long’s side.

Score Prediction?

2-2.
