Ryan Manning continued to build a reputation for himself with a well-taken strike for QPR’s under-23s on Friday afternoon.
The Galwegian scored a left-footed effort from outside the box as his side defeated Barnsley 3-2.
Manning was also recently named in Noel King’s Irish under-21 side to take on Azerbaijan and will hope to reproduce the same magic in Baku.
The 21-year-old joined the Rs in 2015 from Galway United but found the breakthrough in London difficult and continued as a mainstay in the youth sides at Loftus Road despite his promise. However, at the mid-point of last season Ian Holloway handed him his chance to impress and he has not looked back since.
Despite being involved for the under-23s on Friday, he has impressed since the start of the season, although he has mainly started from the bench recently. He is a player that will no doubt be pushing for full international honours soon, especially if he continues to produce such impressive strikes.
