The Republic of Ireland legends and Liverpool legends have announced their squads for the upcoming charity game in aid of the Seán Cox Rehabilitation Trust.
Sean Cox suffered life-changing injuries when he was the victim of an unprovoked attack outside Anfield ahead of the Reds’ Champions League semi-final against AS Roma last April.
He is currently rehabilitating at the National Rehabilitation Centre in Dun Laoghaire but remains unable to speak or walk.
Yesterday, Simone Mastrelli from Rome pleaded guilty to unlawfully and maliciously inflicting grievous bodily harm on the Meath native.
