Following last night’s quarter-final results, the fixture details for the UEFA Champions League semi-finals have been confirmed.
Liverpool will travel to the Camp Nou on Wednesday, May 1 for the first leg of their Champions League semi-final against Barcelona.
Jurgen Klopp’s men sealed their place in the final four with a 4-1 win (6-1 on aggregate) over FC Porto last night with goals from Sadio Mané, Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Virgil van Dijk.
The return leg in Anfield will take place on Tuesday, May 7. Both games will kick off at 8pm BST.
Liverpool’s Premier League match with Newcastle must now be moved.
Meanwhile, in the other Champions League semi-final, Tottenham will host Ajax on the first leg on Tuesday, April 30 before the second leg in Amsterdam on May 8.
Spurs had to rely on VAR to secure their win over Manchester City in the second leg of their quarter-final last night. City won the clash in the Etihad Stadium 4-3, however, it was Spurs who progressed on away goals. Raheem Sterling was denied a hattrick in injury time by VAR that would have sealed the win.
The game began in frantic fashion with five goals flying in during the opening 21 minutes.
