Daniel Sturridge has suffered yet another injury setback in training.
On Tuesday it was widely reported that the prolific striker has suffered yet another thigh strain. He will go for a scan at some point this afternoon.
Sturridge netted 25 goals last season but with the departure of Suarez, his absence this season has been the most noticeable as Rodger’s boys have clearly struggled to hit the target scoring just 14 goals in the league while their strikers, Balotelli, Borini and Lambert have not mustered a league goal between them.
Sturridge has only turned out for three Premier League games this season and had only returned to training in the past week.
Given the fact that he has already had setbacks in both September and October, Liverpool fans must surely be worried that he may be becoming a bit of an Abou Diaby.
UPDATE: Sturridge underwent scans yesterday which have revealed the Liverpool striker will face at least 6 weeks out of action. Sturridge has suffered a grade 2 thigh strain. This will bring his games missed with Liverpool this season to a minimum of 25.
