Harry Kane in Tottenham training snub.
Harry Kane has not turned up for pre-season training at Tottenham Hotspur today, Sky Sports are reporting.
The England captain was due to return to Hotspur Way this morning after a short holiday and this was “Harry Kane’s choice,” according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Kane has been the subject of transfer speculation linking him with a move to Manchester City, after he told Tottenham at the end of last season that he wanted to leave the club.
Kane is assuming that he has had a ‘gentlemen agreement’ with the club since one year to leave Spurs this summer.

Harry Kane on the hunt for trophies.
The 28-year-old lies seventh in the all-time Premier League goal scoring charts with 166 goals and last season he won his third Golden Boot in the competition, racking up 23 goals over the course of the campaign.
Despite having an impressive list of individual honours, including the World Cup 2018 Golden Boot, Kane has yet to win a major team trophy in his career. With Spurs, he was a losing finalist in the 2018/2019 Champions League and has also lost in two League Cup Finals.
It’s thought that the hunt for trophies is a major motivating factor in Kane’s desire to leave the club and with Man City winning eight trophies under current manager Pep Guardiola, it could be the perfect destination for the striker to achieve his goals.
New era for Spurs.
Tottenham have recently appointed former Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo as their new manager and this summer the club have tied Son Heung Min down to a long-term deal, while completing the signing of Sevilla midfielder Bryan Gil.
If a move to Man City does materialise, Kane will be tasked with providing the goals to help the club retain their Premier League title and to go one better than last season’s Champions League Final defeat to Chelsea.
Where will Harry Kane end up?
Prolific striker Sergio Aguero left Man City for Barcelona this summer and aside from Gabriel Jesus, the club are lacking a natural centre forward. 83 Premier League goals were shared between 16 scorers last season and Kane would definitely provide a focal point for Guardiola’s team.
Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish is also said to be coveted by City but it remains to be seen whether a deal for both he and Kane is possible.
Spurs and Man City play each other at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League opener in just 13 days time. All eyes will be on whether Harry Kane will be wearing white or blue.
