Adam Idah scores first Premier League goal.
Adam Idah scored his first Premier League goal as Norwich City beat Everton 2-1 in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
The Republic of Ireland forward hit the net in what was his 27th appearance in England’s top flight, although it was only the fifth time that he has started a game in the league.
Adam Idah off the mark.
The Corkman got on the end of a Brandon Williams pass to slot past Jordan Pickford in the Everton goal, adding to the misery of the travelling Toffees supporters.
While it was important for the 20-year-old to end his wait for a goal, his all-round play was also impressive, with his 11 duals won being more than anyone else on the pitch.
As well as that, he won more fouls (5) than anyone else and perhaps could have scored more than his solitary effort, as he had a total of four shots throughout the game.

Norwich hold out for three points.
Two minutes prior to Idah’s strike, Norwich opened the scoring through a Michael Keane own goal and with the Canaries 2-0 up at half-time, the game looked dead and buried.
Richarlison halved the deficit for the visitors in the second half but the home side held out to secure just their third Premier League win of the season.
With Newcastle and Watford drawing 1-1, the three points will be crucial as Dean Smith’s side look towards an unlikely relegation escape.

Idah also impressed against West Ham United midweek, despite Norwich losing 2-0, and after that game Smith stated that there are still areas where the youngster needs to improve.
“There were a couple of opportunities in the first half where, I’ve got an old saying, don’t make a good chance better, and I felt that he turned down a couple of good opportunities where he could have had a shot,” the former Aston Villa boss said after the defeat.
Idah has now racked up three consecutive starts in the league and will be hoping to add to his goal tally when Norwich travel to Watford next Friday night.
