Erik ten Hag and Ralf Rangnick unified on end of season plans

ten hag interview

Erik ten Hag and Ralf Rangnick opt to keep quiet till the end of the season.

Even though it’s been over two weeks since Erik ten Hag’s appointment as Man United’s new manager, both he and Ralf Rangnick have opted to remain quiet on what next season will look like.

While both were asked about the future of United in a number of ways, Ten Hag and Rangnick appear to be unified on focusing on their current jobs before speaking on the future.

“They are questions for the future and not this moment,” said Ten Hag after being asked about Man United.

“I want to answer questions about Ajax. We are in an important race and an important week and I pay attention to Ajax and not to Manchester United in this moment.”

While it is understandable that Ten Hag wants to focus on his Ajax side as they battle for a league title, Man United are a club that will bring much more media attention and questions for a manager, especially in their current state.

“Ajax is also big and I’m used to it. I’m not interested in media, I’m interested in my work, working with my team and working with my players. That’s what I’ve been doing and will keep doing.”

Current management

Rangnick also took the same position as Ten Hag and decided to avoid discussing Ten Hag’s future plans until he arrived

“We will definitely speak at the end of the season,” said Rangnick.

“Both Erik and myself want to have our full focus on the outstanding games. He has three to play and will do everything to win the title in the Netherlands.

“We have agreed we will have a chat and speak about everything at the end of the season.”
