Wayne Rooney Taunts Manchester City Fans On Twitter After Scoring Against Old Rivals

Wayne Rooney scored his 200th Premier League goal on Monday night against Pep Guardiola’s Man City as Everton drew 1-1 on Monday Night Football.

The former Manchester United man has started the season in fine form with two goals in as many league games and looks like he has a new lease of life since returning to his boyhood club.

Rooney has made a habit of scoring important goals against City and he certainly wasn’t shy in reminding their fans of his record.

This tweet prompted some hilarious responses on social media.

Some fans even went as far as comparing the picture to a previous image of Rooney celebrating for United at the same end of the ground

The newly rejuvenated Rooney appears to be enjoying his football again having left the pressure and stress of expectation at Old Trafford.

Everton fans will certainly be hoping that their former teenage sensation can continue his fine form and help them to climb up the table.
