Watch: Chelsea Come From Behind To Defeat Atletico With Literally The Last Kick Of The Game

With Diego Costa looking on from the stands of the Wanda Metropolitana, Chelsea scored a dramatic win over Champions League Group C rivals Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night.

Antonio Conte’s men went a goal behind to an Antoine Griezmann penalty just before half-time, but came back to secure three points with an Alvaro Morata goal on 59 minutes and a Michy Batshuayi strike that was literally the last kick of the game in the 94th minute.

It was a turn of events that quite obviously did not sit well with once and future Atletico striker Costa, whose Chelsea career was seemingly ended by a Conte text message in June.

Here is the 28-year-old pictured just after Batshuayi’s winner.

Chelsea now sit on top of the group at this early stage, with a maximum six points after two games. Following up their nil-all draw against Atletico with a 2-1 win away to FK Qarabag on Wednesday, AS Roma sit in second on four points.

Not only was Chelsea’s win huge in the context of their Champions League run, but it also sends them into a massive Premier League showdown with Manchester City at the weekend on a high.
