United Fans Resigned To Losing Zlatan After Worrying Injury

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was withdrawn from Manchester United’s Europa League game with Anderlecht on Thursday night after suffering a nasty looking injury.

The Swede landed awkwardly on his right knee and seemed to do serious damage to that area.

Screenshots of the incident emerged and it certainly doesn’t look good for the former PSG man.

United fans quickly realised the severity of the injury and some even suggested tonight may have been his last game for the Reds with his contract running out in the summer.

When Henrikh Mkhitaryan gave the Reds the lead early in the first half, it appeared the hosts would cruise towards the semi-finals but the Belgian side got themselves back in the game and their captain, Sofiane Hanni levelled it up before the break.

The game went to extra time with United continuing to toil in front of goal. Marcus Rashford finally found the winner in the second period with an excellent finish under pressure.

Details are yet to emerge of Ibrahimovic’s injury.
