Romelu Lukaku has been fined by a Los Angeles court after police were repeatedly called to his temporary residence last summer just before joining Manchester United.
According to the Mirror, the Belgium international was arrested following five call-outs from LA police.
Following the hearing, Lukaku – the club’s second most expensive signing – was ordered to pay just £340 ($450) in reparations to the Beverly Hills Police Department.
The 24-year-old could have faced up to six months in jail until his charge was reduced, and thankfully now Jose Mourinho and United can put this incident out of their minds for good.
Lukaku has started the 2017/18 campaign on fire, scoring twelve goals in all competitions and will be crucial in keeping the Old Trafford club in contention for the title as they enters the notoriously congested Christmas period.
The north-west outfit face nine games in December alone in what will be a hugely testing period for Mourinho’s squad.
While changes to his starting XI are likely throughout the month, Lukaku will be instrumental in keeping the goals coming, particularly against the sterner tests against the likes of Arsenal, CSKA Moscow and Manchester City.
