The nominations for the coveted Golden Boy award have been narrowed down to three.
The eventual winner of the award, which celebrates Europe’s best young player (under 21) during a calendar year, is voted upon by journalists from several respected outlets across the continent including The Times and Bild.
Former winners of the award include Lionel Messi, Cesc Fabregas, Paul Pogba and, most recently, Renato Sanches who’s currently on loan at Swansea from Bayern Munich.
With this year’s accolade now being narrowed down to three, we know the winner will come from one of Ligue 1, La Liga or the Premier League.
Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus, Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele and PSG’s Kylian Mbappe are the trio who will fight it out to rub shoulders with the names mentioned above.
The final three is set. ???

Names such as Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford, Tom Davies of Everton and Ajax’s Kasper Dolberg haven’t made the cut having originally been named in the long list.
City striker Jesus has so far this season scored six goals in just seven Premier League matches, Dembele has yet to make an impression at Camp Nou following his move from Borussia Dortmund and Mbappe has netted four goals between Champions League and Ligue 1 games this term.
The winner will be announced on Monday, October 23.
