Liverpool fans have spent the last couple of weeks on tenterhooks as the transfer saga between Barcelona and Philippe Coutinho drags on and on. Now, however, fans have ditched the want-away Brazilian in favour of another Liverpool star.
Having rejected a second offer for the 25-year-old, Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool have insisted that Coutinho is not for sale, despite the Brazilian’s transfer request last week.
Turning down anything from €95 to €120 million, including add-ons, Klopp is certainly keen to hold onto one of his key players this season. For fans, however, the constant speculation is causing many to turn their back on the attacking midfielder in favour of another Liverpool star, Sadio Mane.
Having acquired the 26-year-old Senegal international from Southampton last season, Mane has quickly become a fan favourite with his strong and assured displays for the Reds.
A strong preseason has carried over into the Premier League and Champions League this week and fans are coming to a conclusion that perhaps they should be glad Barcelona want Coutinho and not Mane.
Thank fuck it's Coutinho and not Mane that Barca are wanting!

In the fickle game of football, where an absence due to injury can quickly make a player last weeks news, Liverpool fans have seemingly turned their backs on Coutinho in a matter of days.
However, the question must be asked, if he were to be allowed leave, just how would fans remember him?
