Chelsea are taking a massive step towards securing the Premier League title on Saturday with a clinical destruction of Arsenal.
Counter-attacking brilliance has been the order of the day at Stamford Bridge, as almost every time Arsenal move forward in search of an opening goal, the phase of play ends with a Chelsea chance.
With the home side leading 1-0 in the second half, Arsenal looked to force a leveller, only for Eden Hazard to collect the ball near the halfway line.
What happened next was a work of solo brilliance from the Belgian international…
Hazard swatted Francis Coquelin’s attempts to foul him as if the Frenchman wasn’t even there, before ghosting past Arsenal’s entire defence and finishing past goalkeeper Petr Cech.
Antonio Conte certainly seemed to enjoy it…

The goal had been coming – Arsenal looked particularly vulnerable when Chelsea on the break, and always looked capable of conceding as they pushed in search of a goal of their own.
If the first goal damaged them somewhat, the second seems to have really put them up against it. Arsenal’s title challenge appears to be disintegrating before their very eyes.
That being said, at the time of writing they still (theoretically) have enough time to turn it around and rescue something from this match.
