Aiden McGeady showed the magic Simon Grayson gets out of him yet again with a magnificent strike for his new club Sunderland.
The Irish winger finished from the edge of the box with a cracking left footed strike as his side defeated Wes Hoolahan’s Norwich City.
McGeady joined the relegated Black Cats from Everton following a tremendous season on Loan with Preston. Former North End manager Grayson was appointed Sunderland manager during the summer and made sure to bring the 31-year-old with him to the Stadium of Light.
Lewis Graaban who is on loan from Bournemouth scored two for Sunderland against his former club as well as netting an own goal. Darron Gibson and John O’Shea came off the bench for the Black Cats.

McGeady’s goal will delight Martin O’Neill with Ireland set to take on Georgia in Tblisi on September 2nd. McGeady scored two goals for Ireland the last time they played in the former Soviet state, including a last minute stunner that had a massive say in his country’s successful Euro 2016 qualifying campaign.
