2017 has been an incredible year of football for Tottenham’s Harry Kane.
Having shattered Alan Shearer’s 22-year-old record of Premier League goals in a calendar year, two hat-tricks in four days sealed Kane’s place at the top of the world goalscoring charts for 2017 – ahead of the evergreen Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Kane has scored some truly stunning goals this year, with strikes against Everton, Huddersfield and Borussia Dortmund standing out among the rest.
Be it for club or country, the Englishman has often found himself in the right place, the right time to turn the ball into the net. A tap-in into an open goal, a stunning header, or a powerful finish outside of the area – Harry Kane is capable of providing it.
While speculation will begin to mount even further as his stunning form continues, Kane is currently on track to smash multiple goalscoring records in English football.
A third Premier League Golden Boot in a row looks on the cards, and he is only 4 goals away from joining the Premier League 100 Club – further cementing his status as one of the greatest forwards to ever grace the division.
Kane has been a joy to watch in 2017, and at 24 years old – the Messi-Ronaldo guard is changing, as England’s talisman begins to hit his peak.
Just the eight hat-tricks this year, expect more to come in the coming campaigns.
