Edin Dzeko scored a Champions League goal to remember at Stamford Bridge…
On Wednesday evening, Chelsea and Roma locked horns in a classic Champions League encounter with the two European giants bagging three goals apiece.
Chelsea stormed into a two-goal lead in the first half with David Luiz and Eden Hazard bagging for Antonio Conte’s men. However, in the middle of the second half, Roma had flipped the match on its head with Aleksandar Kolorov pulling one back before Edin Dzeko netted a brace.
It was the former Manchester City striker’s first of the evening that will not be forgotten however as the 31-year-old smashed home an extraordinary volley after a wonderful ball from Federico Fazio.
Although the final strike wasn’t quite as far out, the goal was somewhat comparable to Robin van Persie’s finish for Manchester United in what was a title-deciding clash vs Aston Villa during Sir Alex Ferguson’s final year in charge at Old Trafford.
