The Queens Park Rangers boss was none too happy with some of the home support on Monday night.
The ‘Gers have only managed three wins since September 9, and badly needed a result tonight against Brentford in the SkyBet Championship in order to stop the bleeding.
When a brace from Lasse Vibe of Brentford appeared to have condemned QPR to yet another defeat, fans could be seen leaving before full time in disappointment. Two stoppage time goals from Matt Smith and Luke Freeman however salvaged a point for QPR, who lie 16th in the Championship table.
Speaking afterwards to Sky Sports, who were broadcasting the match live, Ian Holloway addressed those fans who departed early in his own infamous style.
“We keep talking about having to have character, and our boys have done that and kept going”, he gushed.
“Half our fans had gone home. So, what I’d like to say to them is; you should have stayed. Yeah? Our boys need you, you should have stayed.
“Why didn’t you stay? Everybody who did, fantastic, well done, you deserve that as well, but go home early. If you don’t want to, stay there.”
