Carabao Cup Fourth Round Draw Sees Lampard Return To The Bridge

The draw for the fourth round of the Carabao Cup took place on Saturday night, and offered some decent ties for October.

The standout match of the round sees Chelsea host Derby County at Stamford Bridge.

This sees Derby boss Frank Lampard revisit the Blues for the first time since his retirement as a player. He steered the Rams to a win over Manchester United in the previous round, and will fancy another upset despite Chelsea’s superior form.

Elsewhere among the Premier League sides, West Ham host London rivals Tottenham, Bournemouth and Arsenal play Norwich City and Blackpool respectively, Leicester will play the winner of Everton vs Southampton, and Crystal Palace travel to Middlesbrough.

Defending champions Manchester City have been handed a tricky tie against Fulham at the Etihad.

The only non-Premier League match sees Burton Albion play Nottingham Forest, with a non top-tier team guaranteed passage to the quarter finals.

These fourth round fixtures will take place in the week commencing October 29, with those teams playing the Wednesday fixtures hoping to avoid a horror show on Halloween.
