Jadon Sancho could yet see his move to Manchester United fall apart due to the latest dispute over Borussia Dortmund’s asking price.
It appeared that Sancho’s switch to Old Trafford was something of a foregone conclusion judging by the reports emerging from Germany in recent days but the transfer has hit a snag that might prove insurmountable.
According to Manchester Evening News, United have yet to agree personal terms with Sancho’s representatives and the Red Devils have yet to come to terms on an official fee for the English youngster.
Dortmund are said to be holding out for a massive £108 million, which United are unwilling to pay.
The MEN states that United are prepared to walk away from the deal ahead of the deadline put in place by Dortmund – August 10.
Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is also said to be concerned about Sancho’s wage expectations as the United dressing room was negatively affected by Alexis Sanchez’s weekly pay while at Old Trafford.
Despite reports from Germany suggesting that United had agreed terms for Sancho’s move, there appears to be some way to go before this deal gets over the line and the Premier League side is now looking at potential alternatives should they fail to sign Sancho.
Bayern Munich’s Kingsley Coman and Schalke winger Rabbi Matondo have been identified as options for United, who want to strengthen depth on the right wing.

Rio Ferdinand recently teased United fans regarding Sancho by sharing a tweet from the former Manchester City youth player five years ago.
In 2015, Sancho tweeted Ferdinand saying: “Very inspirational man, @rioferdy5 knowing he grew up in the same area as me, a lot of respect.”
Ferdinand might be hinting that it’s only a matter of time before Sancho is announced as a United player but it seems that plenty of negotiations will have to be done yet.
