Watch: Huddersfield And David Wagner Present Arsene Wenger With Gift In Classy Gesture

The day is finally here as Arsene Wenger bids adieu to Arsenal after 22 years of service.

Despite intensified cries of ‘Wenger Out’ for the past few seasons, the Frenchman received a massive outpouring of support when it was announced last month that he was departing the club with which he won three Premier League titles.

Wenger’s farewell to the Emirates faithful took place last weekend after a 5-0 thumping of Burnley, but a trip to the Kirklees Stadium in Huddersfield remained on the agenda as the final game of the season.

As Manchester United did when Wenger visited for the final time, Huddersfield Town made a similarly class gesture prior to today’s 3p.m kick-off.

Town boss David Wagner presented his counterpart with a framed jersey portrait commemorating Wenger’s 1,235 games in charge of the Gunners.

Having cemented their Premier League status for next season with a draw against Chelsea on Wednesday, Huddersfield don’t require anything from today’s game, adding to the goodwill vibes around the ground and giving Arsene Wenger a deserved platform to bow out from English football.
