Video: Real Madrid Teenager Martin Ødegaard in action vs Azerbaijan

The 16 year old wonderkid starred in Norway’s 0-0 draw with Azerbaijan in their Euro 2016 qualifier.

Signed by Real Madrid in January, the Norwegian youngster made his sixth appearance for his national side last night. He was signed from Norwegian side Stromsgodset, and Odegaard became Real Madrid’s youngest ever player after making his debut during Madrid’s final day win over Getafe, at just 16 years and 157 days old.

The footage shows his range of passing (almost setting up a goal with a nice through ball at 3:28) and his willingness to take risks while in possession.

Rumours abound that Celtic are interested in taking Odegaard on loan, with Celtic boss Ronny Deila knowing the player and his family personally from his tenure at Stromsgodset. They may have to cough up for his reported £80,000 a week wages, though.
