Video: Carlos Tevez Makes TV Host Cry With Moving Story About Hometown

A Carlos Tevez story that transcends sport.

In an interview with Alejandro Fantino of Argentine talk show “Loose Animals,” Carlos Tevez demonstrated his love for the people of his hometown of Feurte Apache and their unassuming generosity.

When asked about his hometown and friends, the former Manchester City/United and Juventus striker shows that wealth and status are no obstacles to true friendship:

“My friends don’t let me pay for anything. I have 5-6 friends, of whom 3 have jobs. Every time I go see them they pay for everything, and I realize the kind of place I’m from.”

Both men could not help but tear up.

The interview itself is conducted in Spanish, but below the video you can see the English translation of the conversation courtesy of Reddit Soccer.
