Chicharito has score many fine goals for Mexico, one of the best being this aesthetically fine goal, taking three lovely touches before striking home against the Oranje.

Characterising his never-say-die attitude, Javier rounded off this gritty and determined effort with a classy finish.

7) The Precursor v Eibar (April 2015)

With less than two weeks to go before scoring the winning goal against Atletico. This goal gave Chicharito confidence (having been on the bench often this season), as he scored the second goal in a 3-0 win over Eibar with a fine header.

6) Brilliant goal on Man United debut v MLS All Star XI (2010)

Hernández made his United debut on 28 July 2010, coming on as a substitute for Nani in a game against the MLS All-Star; he scored his first goal for the club 18 minutes later, lobbing the ball over Nick Rimando from just outside the area.

5) Acrobatic goal v Liverpool (2013)

A fine finish from a Rooney corner would give United an always welcome win over their bitter rivals Liverpool.

4) First ever goal (for Guadalajara v Necaxa, 2006)

A certain Little Pea would score his first professional goal here, showing early signs of his poacher instincts and coolness under pressure.

3) Fantastic goal v Ecuador (International March 2015)

Showing his good form this season when given the opportunity, Hernandez took on the Ecuador defence before a great finish from outside the box.

2) Rocket v Deportivo La Coruna (September 2014)

Chicharito scored his first two goals for Carlo Ancelotti’s Galacticos here in September 2014, including this goal of the season contender.

1) Game winning goal v Atletico Madrid (Champions League quarter-final 2015)

“This is the most important goal of my career”

Hernandez sent Real Madrid into the Champions League semis with the winning goal in the 88th minute against neighbours Atletico in the Bernabeu, earning his manager’s praise:

“Hernandez played very well, with a lot of desire. I think he has suffered a lot this season as he has hardly played.

“He never threw in the towel even in difficult moments and worked hard in training and it paid off for him.”

Bonus Peas:

Creative header vs Stoke City (2010)

With his back to goal, Chicha still managed to find the net – using his awareness, he was able to use the back of his head to finish off Stoke in 2010.

Top Corner v Argentina (2010)

2010 was a goal-den period for the Mexican, with this top drawer strike being among the best of the bunch.
