Spurs Want Chicharito While Man United Look To Barca Winger

This summer is turning out to be just as dramatic as last year’s for United.

Transfer specialist Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that Tottenham are keen to sign Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez of Manchester United. They join a host of clubs including Orlando SC who are chasing the striker, who, having returned from a season long loan at Real Madrid, is in the last year of his contract.

His sale would free Louis van Gaal up to bring Barcelona winger Pedro Rodriguez to Old Trafford.

Spanish paper Marca report that United already decided to submit a bid of approximately £18m-£20m for Pedro. His recent contract renewal reportedly included a clause that if a €25m (£18m) bid came in, the Spanish giants would be willing to negotiate his departure.

Chelsea, PSG and Arsenal have also shown interest the player, who finds himself behind the trio of Messi, Neymar and Suarez in the Nou Camp pecking order.

The interest from van Gaal could well stem from the likely departure of Angel Di Maria to PSG after just one season in England.
