Louis Van Gaal Tells Papers That United Need Creative, Speedy Players

Not content with signing seven players during the summer, Man United boss Louis van Gaal wants more.

Kevin Palmer of the Sunday World claims that the Dutchman has signalled his intent to sign yet more players. In particular, Van Gaal wants “creative, speedy players in attack”. The barnstorming success of young French striker Anthony Martial has perhaps prompted the United manager to pursue more players in the mould of Martial.

Palmer is also of the belief that LVG sees the potential signings as a mere stop-gap before he leaves the club within the next few years.

The burning question for United fans now is what players could such a search yield. These folks have their own ideas on who it could entail, with rumoured £40m Reds target Saido Mane of Southampton to the forefront of the speculation.

The Atletico Madrid sensation would be a massive coup for the Old Trafford side, but they would face stiff competition for the Frenchman’s services.

One fan is holding out hope that Louis van Gaal opts for a blockbuster move.

With the comments that LVG has made backed by the deep pockets of the Glazer family, anything’s possible.
