Kieran Sadlier Leaves Cork City For England

Popular midfielder Kieran Sadlier has departed Cork City in favour of an English League One side.

Doncaster Rovers announced the signing of the 24-year-old on an 18 month contract, citing their delight after a raft of clubs were in the hunt for his signature.

“It means a lot to have signed, I’ve done well over the past 18 months in Ireland and I’m really looking forward to joining Doncaster,” he said via the club’s website.

“Grant [McCann] has seen that I’ve been doing well and tracked my progress, we’ve been talking for a while and agreed on a deal. I like to get on the ball and score goals, I want to play with a smile on my face and work hard for the team.”

Sadlier also released a statement of his own on Twitter, calling the move to City the best footballing decision he’s ever made.
