Emanuele Giulianelli has laid claim to what would be one of the biggest scoops of the summer, reporting that Arsenal have almost signed Everton striker Romelu Lukaku.
According to the Italian, the Belgian is set to snub Chelsea in order to move to the Emirates.
Despite Chelsea pressing, Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Lukaku. An offer will be submitted.

Lukaku has, of course, been the subject of much interest from the giants of the Premier League. Indeed, Chelsea going cap-in-hand back to a player who they shipped out after just ten appearances speaks volumes of the 23-year-old’s standing in the game.
Jamie Vardy’s snub of the Gunners leaves them still in the market for a top forward, and apparently with the funds to back up their ambitions.
The trouble is; is Giulianelli reliable?
The journalist has worked for some stellar, reliable publications in the past, with the likes of FourFourTwo, La Gazzetta dello Sport, and TuttoCalciatori to his name, and has gotten some reports correct. However, he’s also the source of the ‘Done deal: Karim Benzema to Arsenal‘ story, which has some questioning the validity of these latest claims.
@BillyKilby In other news, Arsenal has completed the medicals for Lionel Messi, Ronaldo and Benzema.

While an Arsenal move remains a distinct possibility, this particular report needs further verification before Lukaku can switch the Everton blue of Umbro for the Arsenal red of Puma.
