Irish Teenager Ryan Nolan Makes Inter Milan Debut

Ryan Nolan is all set to follow in the footsteps of Liam Brady and Robbie Keane in lining out for Inter Milan.

The 19-year-old played for Torre Pacheco in Spain, but was snapped up by Inter Milan back in 2015.

Nolan hasn’t yet represented Ireland in a competitive underage game, and the Spanish FA are said to be interested in bringing him on-board given that he’s eligible by virtue of his earlier spell there.

The defender is doing the bulk of his development in Inter’s famed youth academy, but on Saturday he got the chance to play alongside the likes of Mauro Icardi.

Nolan replaced Stefan de Vrij in the 75th minute of Inter’s 3-0 win over Swiss side Lugano.

The Clare native wasn’t challenged a great deal in the final 15 minutes, but it will prove to be invaluable experience as a brief part of the senior set-up.

A Lautaro Martinez goal and a brace from Yann Karamoh were enough for a 3-0 rout, and Inter will next play FC Sion on Wednesday, before facing Zenit, Sheffield United and Chelsea later in the month.

You can check out Nolan in action below 68 minutes into the video.
