Gary Neville Reacts To Loan Move Of James Wilson

Gary Neville doesn’t buy into the ‘shock’ over James Wilson’s move to Brighton on loan from Manchester United.

Wilson, who appeared just twice for United this season, yesterday joined Championship side Brighton and Hove Albion on loan until the end of the season. That leaves Manchester United with just two designated strikers in Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney (although Memphis filled the void in the win over Watford last week).

The move follows the departures of Robin van Persie and Javier Hernandez to Fenerbahce and Bayer Leverkusen respectively, with manager Louis van Gaal declining to resign on-loan striker Radamel Falcao.

Some have questioned the wisdom of this latest decision, but Sky Sports pundit and club legend Gary Neville believes it is the right choice for both parties.

Wilson was on the bench against PSV when his side needed a goal, and didn’t come on in the end (Marouane Fellaini got the nod). The youngster will be hoping to establish himself in Chris Hughton’s first-team sooner rather than later.
