Ex-Chelsea Star Oscar Ignites Huge Brawl In Chinese Super League Game

Oscar was always adept at getting under his opponent’s skin, and that trait has continued in earnest given today’s evidence.

The 25-year-old made the surprising decision (or perhaps not given the reported £20m a year salary) to move to Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG last December. In doing so, the Brazilian joined his compatriot Hulk at the club, and his latest antics have showcased the more frustrating side of his game.

During a passage of play while taking on Guangzhou R&F, Oscar hoofed the ball at two different opposition players, before a push saw him hit the deck like he had been shot.

Cue chaos.

What appeared to be every squad player on both teams congregated for a mass brawl, with the referee seeing fit to send off Tixiang Li of Guangzhou and Huan Fu of Shanghai.

The £60m signing recovered from the shocking attack and managed to finish the game, which ended 1-1.
