Cillian Sheridan Is Now A Free Agent

Cillian Sheridan has been granted a release by Polish side Jagiellonia Białystok just in time for 2019.

The Irishman joined the Ekstraklasa side in 2017, and made an immediate impact, scoring eight goals in 14 games.

Having made just eight league appearances this season however, the nomadic striker, who has played in Scotland, Cyprus and Bulgaria, is on the move once again.

“Cillian Sheridan is no longer a Jagiellonia Bialystok player,” the club said in a statement. “The Irish striker terminated the contract with our club by mutual agreement.”

“He came to Jagiellonia in February 2017 on the basis of a definitive transfer from APOEL Nicosia. The growing Irishman quickly blended in with Michał Probierz, who was fighting for the Polish championship. His eight goals and three assists allowed the Yellow-Red team to win second place in the LOTTO Ekstraklasa.”

Cillian, thank you for playing in Jaga and we wish you good luck in your further career!”

At 29-years-old, the forward still has something to offer prospective clubs, particularly in terms of Champions League experience, and he has three caps for the Republic of Ireland.
