Watch: Sturridge Achieves Redemption With Bicycle-Kick Opener

Just moments after coming through with one of the worst misses you’ll ever see, Daniel Sturridge managed to break the deadlock with a bicycle kick.

Liverpool hosted Chelsea in their third-round Carabao Cup matchup and while both sides went into the break with the scores level, the second-half started with several big talking points.

England’s Daniel Sturridge managed to dramatically miss an open goal in the second-half’s earliest stages but then just over ten minutes later, managed to redeem himself in style.

After the ball flew perilously into the air inside the Chelsea box, it was the very same man who potentially made a joke of himself just moments before who lofted himself into the air to score a bicycle kick to break the deadlock.

Take a bow Daniel Sturridge, you just spared yourself some serious blushes.
