Seamus Coleman was the victim of some bad luck as he scored an own-goal against Watford in today’s Premier League matchup.
It was Watford’s Gerard Deulofeu who started the move against his former-club, finding Kiko Femenia who crossed into the box where Roberto Pereyra managed to connect.
Hitting the post, the ball then rebounded into the path of Ireland’s Seamus Coleman – who botched his attempt at controlling – sending the ball into his own net.
Just two minutes later, Coleman and Everton’s problems went from bad to worse as Abdoulaye Doucoure to get the better of the Irishman again – this time in the air – to put his side ahead.
Then, in another crazy turn of events, The Toffees were awarded a penalty after Yerry Mina was taken down inside the box. Gylfi Sigurdsson then was denied by Watford’s Ben Foster, leaving the scores at 2-1 to Watford until Lucas Digne equalised for Everton with a beautiful free-kick in the 96th minute.
