Mo Salah has registered his first ever goal in a World Cup after pulling one back for Egypt after they fell 3-0 behind against Russia.
It may amount to little more than a consolation goal but Mohamed Salah is officially off the mark for Egypt after he converted from the spot following his side falling three goals behind a dominant Russian side.

Salah, of course, missed out on his team’s opening fixture due to injury and with many pointing at today’s game as a vital one for their aspirations of getting out of their group, the mark he did make on the World Cup finals was perhaps not the one he was looking for.
Still, the honour of getting on the scoresheet in such a prestigious tournament will cap off a remarkable season for the 26-year-old something that will stay intact no matter how things play out for him at an international level.
