Luca Zidane, the son of the legendary Zinedine Zidane, made his first ever start for Real Madrid last night and had something of a mixed night.
Zinedine Zidane’s son Luca Zidane featured for his father’s side yesterday as they faced off against Villareal in an absolutely crucial game for their hopes of nabbing second-place as this year’s La Liga season dies down.
Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo each netted to put Madrid in the lead but after Ronaldo was subbed in the second-half, Villareal were able to capitalise scoring twice to level the game.
The talent of the manager’s debutant son Luca was on display when he made a fantastic save early on.
Our defense really did Luca Zidane dirty on his debut match ??
Could have kept a clean sheet if it wasn’t for those bums ?

And while Zidane’s inexperience at the top-level is understandable, a late mistake, when faced with substitute Roger Martinez in a one-on-one, caused his side to drop precious points to Atletico Madrid, who now lead them by two points with their final game of the season in hand.
