Manchester City have reportedly completed a deal to sign hotly-tipped Irish goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu for a fee of €400,000.
What a move this could be for the young goalkeeper!
Bazunu managed to garner quite a bit of attention on the back of some fantastic performances in for Shamrock Rovers, performances that saw him clinch the league’s Player of the Month award for July.
At 16, he is easily one of the finest talents in the country and the fee that City are expected to pay reflects that.
According to The Irish Mirror, Bazunu will sign on a four-year deal and will initially play for the under-18 side.
This move comes on the back of supposed interest from Tottenham – who City were able to fight off to secure the deal.
Rovers boss Stephen Bradley has spoken very highly of Gavin in the past, predicting international success in his future and with this move, it appears as though he is taking the first steps towards something huge.
