Liverpool managed to seal their spot in the last-16 of the Champions League by edging out Ancelotti’s Napoli to come out on top by a score of 1-0.
And they’ll have to feel that they should have had an easier time signing and sealing this one off.
Several missed opportunities from Klopp’s men left the scores at 1-0 when all was said and done but after some nervy periods throughout, Liverpool did enough to tie down a spot for themselves in the last-16 – avoiding the very real possibility that they could well be out of the competition at this early stage.
When the game’s pivotal goal came, it came in the 34th minute from Liverpool key-man Mo Salah, a beautiful effort that showed the Egyptian’s balance and flair to its fullest.

In the end, Liverpool did enough, but their fans will no doubt feel as though they will need to tighten up to avoid such nail-biting scenarios in the future.
Goalkeeper Allison came to rescue at the very last with a superb save but all in all, they could well have widened the gap long before then.
What a save Allison!

They’ll no doubt be filled with confidence, however, by this win, something they can take into the more linear structure of the knockout stages.
