Leeds managed to continue their electric start to this season’s Championship campaign with a dominant win over Norwich.
It really does seem as though the Bielsa-effect is well and truly in play.
An undefeated start to the season is always a solid foundation to build off of and while their supporters will be fully aware of the dangers of counting chickens, there’s an especially positive feeling within the Leeds fanbase this time around.
Travelling to Carrow Road to face Norwich this evening, Leeds started the game a relatively slow pace – understandable given their mid-week meeting with Swansea – but grew into proceedings as the game progressed.
Mateusz Klich broke the deadlock after latching onto a rebounded effort and then Gjanni Alioski doubled their lead before the break.
Pablo Hernandez then finished the rout with their third, firing in an absolute cracker, picking out the corner and sending those who had travelled alongside their club into hysterics.
The game finished at a comprehensive 3-0. Leeds moved back to first-place in the table and have started the season with 13 points from a possible 15.
The Marcelo Bielsa-era of Leeds United is still in its very early days but from what we’ve seen so far, who knows, they could well be returning to the top-flight if they keep this up.
