Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has reportedly suffered a serious knee injury in training.
City’s Premier League account was opened last weekend with a strong 2-0 victory over Unai Emery’s Arsenal but if reports made by Sky Sports are to be believed, their solid start may well have led into a crushing blow.
Kevin De Bruyne hurt his right knee in training mid-week and is now undergoing tests to determine the severity of the injury.
With a stint on the sidelines as long as three months being suggested, who knows how much of a part the Belgian star will have to play in his teams title-push in the season’s early stages.
De Bruyne played a key-role in City’s dominant Premier League title victory during the 2017/18 season and will no doubt be sorely missed if the injury he sustained is in fact as bad as it is rumoured to be.
