Irish goalkeeper Caoimhín Kelleher has been named as part of the 23-man squad that will travel to Madrid for tomorrow’s Champions League final.
It’s a real testament to both the talent of the Cork-native and the faith that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has in this young man’s ability to succeed.
At just 20-years-old, the position will likely amount to a third-placed spot behind first-choice Alisson Becker and back-up Simon Mignolet – barring some incredibly chaotic turn of events.
Even still, it has been clear to those in the know for some time now that the Irish have a real talent on their hands, with Klopp going as far as to rate the youngster as an ‘outstanding talent’.
