Alan Browne Underlines Ireland Midfield Credentials With Scintillating Performance

Alan Browne turned in an absolutely fantastic performance as his Preston North End side beat Blackburn by a scoreline of 4-1.

With the Mick McCarthy-era of Irish football set to begin its second chapter shortly, Alan Browne made a real statement in Deepdale this evening as The Lilywhites welcomed Blackburn for today’s Championship clash.

Two assists and a goal saw Browne well and truly steal the show as one of the busier weeks in Irish football draws to a close.

Browne has earned three caps for the Irish national team at senior level and he’ll be hoping to make himself an early favourite to the new management.

The 23-year-old signed for Preston in 2014 from Cork City and in the time since, has scored 13 times over the course of 139 appearances.
