Arsenal headed to Old Trafford on Sunday evening for Arsene Wenger’s very last battle with old rivals Manchester United…
Paul Pogba was the man to put United in the lead in today’s Premier League matchup between the Red Devils and Arsenal. Arsene Wenger has, of course, had a long and entertaining rivalry with the Manchester side, something that gives the entire fixture an added level of intrigue.
But with little else to play for in terms of league-positioning, Pogba threw the first curveball at Wenger’s ideal narrative after finding himself in the right place to nod home in the opening quarter of the hour.

After the break, it was Arsenal who made the first move with former Manchester United man Henrikh Mkhitaryan directing a tidy finish into the bottom corner having received the ball from Granit Xhaka.
Having played for United for just over a season and a half, Mkhitaryan was all class when the ball hit the back of the net, refusing to rub salt in the wounds of United supporters by simply raising his hands in a respectful manner.
However, it was United that stole the points in the dying moments with a header from Fellaini floating past David Ospina after an excellent cross from Ashley Young.
