An interesting development.
Wolves full-back Jack Scott is set to join FAI Cup holders St. Patrick’s Athletic on loan ahead of the 2022 League of Ireland season, according to reports.
The Athletic are reporting that Scott, a right-back, is to join the Saints after impressing through the ranks at the Premier League club.
Should he join the club, Scott will join former Wolves academy player Anto Breslin in joining the club ahead of the 2022 campaign at Richmond Park.
St Patrick’s Athletic set to swoop for Jack Scott.
Hailing from Northern Ireland, Scott penned his first professional contract with Wolves in 2019, signing a four-year deal at the club.
Also a Northern Ireland U21 international, Scott has impressed at Molineux, but has been unable to make the grade at first-team level in the Premier League, so far.

But he joins a St Patrick’s Athletic side who head into the 2022 campaign as reigning cup holders, and have European football to look forward to.
As a result of finishing second in the league table to Shamrock Rovers, the Inchicore outfit qualified for the Europa Conference for the first time.
It will also be their first time back in Europe since 2019, where they were well beaten by Swedish side IFK Norrkoping over two legs in the Europa League.
Jack Scott.
A right-back, Scott is likely to slot into a Saints side that will be looking to impress under new boss Tim Clancy.
Clancy, who takes over from Stephen O’Donnell, was previously in charge of Drogheda United, and led them to top-flight survival in 2021.
St Patrick’s Athletic begin their 2022 league campaign with a opening day clash away to Damien Duff’s Shelbourne at Tolka Park.
