Whisper it, just whisper it, but Shane Long may, in fact, be on fire.
The Tipperary native was adored and serenaded by Ireland fans all summer, despite his goal drought.
However, he is back amongst the scoring for Southampton, after a strike against Liverpool last week.
This evening, Southampton are taking on Swansea City, and time of writing the Welsh side enjoy a 2-1 lead.
But significantly for Ireland, Long has found the net.

With a crucial World Cup qualifier at home to Wales in less than two months, Ireland manager Martin O’Neill will be delighted that Long is back scoring and enjoying his football.
